Hello, everyone!

It has been quite a while since I have posted here, so to do a quick recap of myself: I was led about 3 years ago to start studying groups such as the JW's and Mormons. I quickly found resources by people such as Wilbur Lingle (A wonderful and tremendous Christian man!) Ron Rhodes, and David Reed. My wife and I have in fact developed a study incorporating all of these materials that My wife and I have led at some local churches.

It finally happened. We were patient, and we waited, and on Wednesday May 12th, 2010 I happened to be home and received a visit from some JW's. I couldn't believe that it was thrust upon me, it happened when I least expected it! So, I remembered what Mr. Lingle had written about how to approach them, I did so, and a pair of them are coming early this afternoon to start discussions. This is going to be a very long process, and we are in need of prayer as we attempt to help these people come to know Jesus.

I will be posting their first names later on today after our first meeting, I would like to ask everyone here to please pray for them, and us. I spent about 30 minutes earlier on the phone with Mr. Lingle and he has helped guide me through what needs to be done in the first session with them.

I am very excited that God is using us in this way, even if they stop coming, I know that we have done what He has led us to do.

God Bless!!

Todd

Oh wow! I didn't expect to get what I got!! God placed not only two JW's in our lives to witness to, but two elders! This is going to be extremely difficult, but we are well on the path to hopefully helping them! If I was to sum up in a one word what I think about their situation, it would have to be: heartbreaking. My heart is so broken just thinking about not only them, but those who are trapped in the WS.

I would like to humbly ask for everyone here who reads this to please pray for them. Their names are Clarence and Louise. A sweet elderly couple, who I already love very much.

God bless!

Todd

I'll be praying for Clarence and Louise, and for the Lord to give you the words that will start this couple thinking. What a wonderful opportunity the Lord has put at your door! May He bless your efforts to reach JW's with the true Gospel of Jesus.

As a note: Clarence may be an elder, but Louise is not. Women aren't allowed positions of leadership in the congregations.

God bless,

Mrs. R

Thank you so much for your encouragement, Mrs. R, I really do appreciate it! My wife and I have calmed down a little bit since the first encounter, and have had some encouragement from Wilbur Lingle. The Lord has already blessed us greatly with this opportunity. Only He knows the condition of their hearts. He has given us an extended period of time to better prepare for our next meeting, as my wife and I have plans this Saturday, and Clarence and Louise have plans the following Saturday. I will definitely be in prayer and deep study of the techniques that need to be employed to help them to start thinking. I know this will take a good long while, but the rewards are so very great.

Thanks again for the prayers, and clarification on the elder title!!

God bless,

Todd
