Good point Mrs. R. I never thought of it that way.

I agree that Judge Rutherford made many changes to doctrine that made no sense to anyone but him.

Let's give "Judge" Rutherford a break people!! Remember that he probably wrote most of those doctrines while ... happily inebriated!!!

Do you think that the Bible teaches that ANYONE will live forever on Earth?
Since 2 Timothy teaches that there will be a "last days" of this system, what happens to the Earth after the "last days",since the Bible also says that the Earth is eternal.
What are your views on Armageddon? The thing is about the Witnesses, they don't just take one scripture out of the word of God to back up their beliefs, they look at many scriptures and then come to a conclusion. For instance, since the book of Ecclesiastes says that "the dead are conscious of nothing",they take this to mean that all the dead have never gone to heaven apart from the 144,000 of Revelation.
They rejected the hellfire doctrine also because of that scripture and others such as one in Psalms which says that "the wicked will be annihilated".There is not one scripture in the Bible which can be used to support eternal torment,as the Baptists say there is.
Also, regarding the resurrection scriptures, they feel that anyone who died before Armageddon could have the resurrection hope, unlike the Christadelphians who think it is open only to members of their church.
This is because of a scripture which says "there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."

I find your distribution of a tract called "Jesus never preached about paradise on Earth" very odd indeed. How can you call yourself a Christian?
Doesn't the Lord's prayer say "your will be done on Earth as it is in heaven"?Doesn't the book of Revs. say "I am making a new heavens and a NEW EARTH"& so forth.Undeniably, there are going to be some people getting eternal life in a paradise Earth according to what the Bible says.

I definitely believe that Jesus preached a paradise earth. He coming to earth the first time was two fold, the first was to give hope to the hopeless, teach them of the promises of their prophets. The second, to gather his body members, which continues to this day.

His return was to gather his saints and begin the restoration process which begins with the gradual destruction of this system of things.
