Hello All, I want to thank those who have replied to my previous posts. Like most of us I am very busy and log in from time ot time to learn more about 'witnessing' to Jehovah's Witnesses.

Recently a few JW's came to my door. We engaged in a spirited discussion and I was very firm in my stance against the Watchtower organization and its teachings. I made a point of telling the JW's that I believe they are good people but their organization is evil and is a mind control cult. They were shocked with my comments (obviously if you are part of a cult you won't know it. Hence the word cult)

I asked them, " ...why is it that you can come to my front door and ask me to question my faith but it is forbidden for you to question yours?". One replied, "...we can question our organization to ourselves but not out loud to our elders, etc...".
So my next question was, "..why is that so?" What does the Watchtower have to hide?". He could not answer.

We got into Jesus being the archangel Michael. I proposed to him that if God could create Jesus and also turn the archangel Michael into Jesus, as the JW's are taught, could he not also have the power or ability to be Jesus (God incarnate in the flesh). The Bible says that he transformed himself into a bond servant and humbled himself in the likeness of a man- Philippians 2:5-8 (NKJ)
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

I was almost floored by his reply. He said that we are only arguing about peoples names! It is not peoples names that matter. Well, if they are only names then why do they care if people call Jehovah; God; instead of by his name Jehovah? Remember that a JW uses the fact that Jehovah is his name to deny the Trinity doctrine (One person cannot have 3 names according to their teachings).

I finished off with the Acts 4:12 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” I asked him if I could replace the name of Jesus with Bill or John or Susan since names do not matter. He quickly ended our discussion and told me to have a nice day.

I know all the above may sound petty to some but we need to be prepared as possible to defend our beliefs as 1Peter3:15 tells us in the Bible. The JW preys on people who are either going through personal turmoil or do not have a basic understanding of the Bible.

I wrote this to share my experience and to a certain extent have a chuckle at the JW's. I found it rather humorous how the JW at my door was easily caught off guard by my questions. They do not know the Bible as well as they brag about. They do not study the Bible. They study AWAKE and Watchtower magazines that tell them what is supposedly in the Bible. There is a huge difference.
